Hello, thank you for taking the time to review my online portfolio.

I currently work at The Council of State Governments (CSG) in Lexington, Kentucky as a web developer. I was previously the lead graphic designer for 5 years with CSG. We publish a 48-page magazine bi-monthly. CSG hosts many conferences around the United States every year and I create and execute a unique branding plan for each one. This includes a logo, pre-meeting advertisements, mailers, on-site programs, signage, social media advertisements, promotional items, and daily on-site newsletter. These conferences routinely draw more than one thousand people in attendence.

At MediaWorks I consulted with clients daily, understanding the direction and background of new design projects. I worked on print, wide format, online, video and social media projects on a typical day. I feel that MediaWorks has pushed me outside my comfort zone to learn and thrive working with new media.

I graduated in May 2013 from Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky with a degree in Photojournalism with a minor in Communication Studies. While in school at WKU I worked for the Intramural Recreational Department ("IMREC") in marketing and advertising. The four years I worked for IMREC helped me to choose my career path in design.

I grew up in Danville, Kentucky and graduated from Boyle County High School in 2009. As a sophomore in high school, I worked as a photographer and layout designer for the high school yearbook. During my senior year, I interned in the photography department at the Advocate Messenger, a newspaper in central Kentucky. These two experiences in my high school career gave an early insight into the career path I have chosen. My college education at Western Kentucky University has only heightened my enthusiasm for this profession.

I hope you enjoy my website!
